Welcome to the cyber competition for new competitors!

NCAE Cyber Games is a competition for cybersecurity students who have never participated in a competition or hackathon before. Competitions are a great way to learn new skills and build up your resume, but they can be intimidating if you’ve never tried one before. This program aims to make it easy (and fun) for students to see how competitions work and learn with others who are also newbies. Interested students can register, and we will connect you with your school’s NCAE Cyber Games faculty liaison. Once registered, you can start exploring the Sandbox right away to get a feel for what kinds of challenges make up a cyber competition.

NCAE Cyber Games is open to any undergraduate student enrolled at an NCAE-C-designated institution. Check the list here to see if your college/university qualifies.

Cyber competitions add serious value to your resume, demonstrating to potential employers that you have the skills and hands-on experience of defending a network and that you can work as part of team. The NCAE Cyber Games are designed for students who have never competed before to provide you with everything you need to know to take on more advanced national challenges and build your resume.

  • All teams interested in participating in the competition must complete and submit the registration form.

  • Click the blue “Login” box in the upper right corner to create an account.
  • Some teams may have additional registration requirements specific to their region. Check your regional website for more information.

  • Once registered, you will be issued login credentials that will allow you to access the Sandbox, where you can get started trying out challenges and seeing how cyber competitions work.
  • What if I don’t have a faculty liaison at my school? No problem! Register anyway and let us know which school you’re with. We will reach out to your school’s NCAE-C representative to assign a faculty liaison for you and your team.
